Hi all, first post. Soon to be new owner of 15 x 30 Martix above ground pool. Have the ground level and ready to set up if it will quit raining here in Virginia. My question is, can I use a intex salt system with this size pool? We are moving up in size a little and according to manuel it will make clorine for up to 14,000 gals. It's Intex model 10CS 8110 that was purchased in May of 2011.

Thanks!!

You probably could, though hooking it up might be a trick. The issue you may want to consider is that using an SWCG will void the warranty on most conventional AG pools. So, you might want to wait a year.

Thanks for the reply. Other than the liner, which part of the warranty could it void. We used the salt system for 4 years with Intex pool with no issues.

Thanks!!

Most standard AG pools have metal walls &/or coping that is in intermittent contact with pool water. When it dries, it leaves the salt behind, where it can accumulate, especially in dry areas.
