My polaris booster pump (polaris 280 cleaner) went out the end of last season. I plan on buying this pump and trying to install it myself. The price is so good I want to make sure this is the correct pump and comfirm that the switch should be easy.

So it seems this pump is made by the same company that makes the pumps that come in the complete package.

There should be the 2 water connections and 3 electric wires, that should be about it right?

Sounds like a good deal (depending on what the shipping is :) )

You can also look into just replacing the motor, but I think that, for the price, a whole new pump is easier and not too much more expensive.

You are right about the '2 ports and 3 wires' aspect.
