We are getting ready to order a new inground fiberglass pool. I see that the IC20 system is rated for up to 20,000 gallons. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is it better to go bigger? Thanks.

In general, a bigger SWCG is better. The reason for that is that it generates the necessary chlorine quicker. The result is you turn "down" the output dial, resulting in far less on time. That means your cells will last longer. I've got a cell rated for 40k gallons in my 12k gallon pool, and I run usually at about 15% output. I'm sure my cell will need to be replaced soon, but it's on it's fourth year and I think it only was intended to be a 3 year cell (based on the warranty).

Make sure a swcg won't invalidate your new pool's warranty first. Also, if you have a heater, make sure it's one rated for use with salt pools.
