I recieved my test kit today. I went and tested everything and am having a problem with the salt kit.

I have a 16.5K IG Pool. I just recently converted to salt 3 weeks ago. Using test strips, I got a reading of 400ppm with plain water so I dropped in 350 pounds of salt and ran the pump for 2 days. At that time, I turned on my SWG and it had an error saying low salt. I added 25 more pounds, waited another day, and now it generates salt. Adding 375 pounds to a 16.5K gallon pool should raise the salt 2700ppm. Considering I had 400ppm naturally in the water, I should have just around 3100ppm.

After completing this, my Aquarite reads 2800, my test strips read 2940, the electronic meter at the pool store reads 3200, and my new PS234s reads 6200!

Just to explain how I did the test, I filled the tube to 2ml. I dropped in 1 drop of the yellow solution, Potasium Chromate. Then 1 at a time, I dropped in Silver Nitrate. After 31 drops, it stayed red/orange. I did it twice just to be safe.

What am I doing wrong on the test to get this reading? There is no way I have this much salt. It's simply not possible with my pool volume and with the amount of salt I dumped in.

It appears that the PS234 test reading is about double the other test readings you got. You may want to check the PS234 instructions again in case you missed something. Possibly dividing the number drops by 2. Just a thought.
