Hi again from Piemonte (northwest part of Italy where putting in a swimming pool is, to say the least, Byzantine)

Can anybody direct me to a site that explains what the essentials of pool plumbing are? How to know what the necessary equipment is for a regular back garden pool with one side only tipping over into a deck level canal to a compensation tank? I would like to use a SWCG to purify the water; don't want to heat it; would like the water be pushed up from the bottom rather than sucked down.

It's like learning Greek here. Thanks for any advice.

Best regards,
Jane

Hi Jane,

I've moved your post into a different part of the forum where hopefully it will get views and responses from the few people here who can answer your questions. I just wanted you to know that you aren't being ignored!!

Jane, are there no pool builders in Italy around where you live? They would probably be the best in knowing what the parameters are for building a pool there. They should also build it to your requests too, such as the floor returns.
Here's ONE site that may give you a start. http://www.inyopools.com/build_your_own_pool.aspx
