I've posted here before about honeybees using our pool for their watering hole, still looking for a solution. We live on the desert edge and it's apparently one of their only sources of water, we've been living with them for six years now, they're already in full force this season, and we haven't even started swimming yet. We've tried all kinds of things, one more thing I'd like to try but thought I should ask first. I thought I might try spraying ammonia just above the waterline on the PebbleTec surface, which is where they congregate by the scores. Is that a bad idea? I'm desperate to find something to cut their numbers down, spraying pesticide helps to kill them but just won't discourage them from coming.

I would not do that, first you don't want ammonia in the pool. Also chlorine and ammonia don't mix well!!!
