Hello,
I just took apart my Hayward DE Filter and reloaded it. Upon start up this morning i noticed a cloud coming ou of my reurn jets. Pool was cloudy within minutes. When cleaning my grids i noticed 2 small openings in the top of he grids. Each was about an inch long. It looks like the seam came apart. I put ths short grid in it respective place an the others followed suit. Put it back together and put the filter back on. These grids are approx 11 years old. What shall I do? Replace he grids or are they assembled incorrectly?
Thanks,
Mark

I haven't personally worked on that filter, so without seeing pictures, I can't tell for certain.

But in the pumps I have worked on, the membranes were sewn, or slipped onto the grids -- and a seam separation is normally fixed by replacing the grid in question. 11 year old grids sometimes become brittle, as well.
