Hello,

This year I am looking to add a timer for my pool pump. What is recommended as a simple on/off timer to add and a good source to get them from?

thanks,

Intermatic T104 (http://www.amazon.com/Intermatic-T104-208-277-Volt-Mechanical-Switch/dp/B000BQOX88)

If you have a two speed, you will need to get a T106 as well and you can find them in a single unit like the T10604 (http://www.amazon.com/Intermatic-T10604R-Control-Center-T106M/dp/B0039Q7NYI).

I use a regular hot water heater timer. This is only good if you have a place to install it out of the weather.

Thank you for the input. One item that I did not mention is that I also have a gas heater. Will the same Intermatic T014 switch recommended previously work? Will it just need the following fireman's switch?

A fireman switch would be a good idea and yes, the heater is in series with the fireman switch and the timer.
