Just opened the pool and used the PS233 test kit, here are the numbers:

FC: 0.5
CC: 3 ppm
TC: 3.5
pH: 7.5
Alk: 170
Cal: 220
cya: 0
Temp: 67

22' round AG pool, 10,500 gallons

Appreciate any help on what I need to add to get my numbers where they need to be. Have used bleach and borax in past years. I'm pool illiterate and need help. Thanks so much for any directions you can give me.

Welcome to the forum.

Your CC at 3 ppm needs to be addressed pretty quickly.

You will need about 10 gallons of 6% regular unscented bleach. Circulate for 24 hours and check the Cl ppm.

Download Mike W. Smith's Bleach Calculator. (Do a search for him in the member's list) . Then do another calculation to see how much more you need to get the Cl ppm back up to 5 ppm. The idea is to get the CC down to less than 0.5 ppm.

The CYA needs to be added as well. The calculator again will help.

Keep us posted with your numbers, and we can help you further.

I would double check those chlorine numbers just to make sure you didn't get your FC reading switched with your CC reading.
