Tips on removing pool light wiring from conduit??

I had my gunite pool redone about 6 years ago. The company that did the work wanted me to pay an extra $400 to gaurantee that my functioning pool lights would continue to function after they were done replastering. Of course I wasn't about to pay the ransom and of course one of my lights didn't work when they were done.

I bought another light last year and I'm finally getting around to looking at it now. After a bunch of messing around I've finally determined that the existing wiring was severed at the point where the conduit attaches to the niche. The pool company let the light hang out of the niche for 4 weeks while they did the work :( And if that didn't do it, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they actually cut the wire to spite me.

So now all I want to do is pull the old wire out and it just won't budge. It's a wet niche and the wire is not epoxied into the conduit. I also don't see any other j-boxes between the light and the switch. The light sits directly below the diving board and I even removed it to check.

Any tips or ideas?

Waste or Waterbear may have an idea; I don't.

In my experience, stuck pool lights are usually due to crimps in the conduit left by the original builder, or other original defects. All the fixes I know about involve deep holes.

Try getting some wire pulling lubricant (like "Yellow 77") into the conduit. Attach a wire pulling tool -- Home Depot has them in their electrical department; they call them "Klein Tools pulling grip" -- and attach to a cable puller/winch.
