Hey guys,

Very glad that this forum is back up!
My question is -- I have a kidney shaped pool 40x20 with a solar cover, but I am tired of taking it off with my hands all the time. Is there a reel system that someone can recommend?

I looked at many online, but it seems like they are made not for a shaped pool. Is there one for a kidney shape?

Sorry if it sounds stupid.

Thanks,
blk

A reel can be used on a kidney shaped pool. It has to be placed in the middle of the pool, so putting the cover back on isn't quite as easy as it would be for a rectangular pool, but easier that no reel at all.

Can someone suggest something else?

Is the middle of the pool really the only way to do it?

I have a figure 8 shaped pool and the pool store said the reel should be placed over the widest part and the cover folded over it before you start cranking. I assume the same would work for a kidney shape which is simialar.
