I have Polaris mini deck jets which consist of a one piece molded plastic (ABS or PVC, not sure which) box in my deck that the metal jet fitting screws into and the water line connects to the back (and is buried in the concrete). One of them has a hairline crack where the metal jet screws in and I do not want to replace the whole box since the acrylic deck surface was JUST redone! ( I did not catch the small leak before having the deck remudded, restamped, and restained).
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with ether Plast-Aid or JB Weld in a repair such as this? From what I have read, Plast-Aid should do the job but was wondering if anyone has actually worked with it. I would guess that JB Weld would probably work as well but am leaning toward the Plast-Aid since it also has a solvent bonding effect with both PVC and ABS.
Any input would be appreciated.
