I installed a new Hayward pump and motor package last week and I cannot get it to hold prime. When i get it running it runs fine but the water bleeds down overnight. I've checked all the fittings and everything seams ok. The last pump and motor I replaced never had this problem, any suggestions? THANKS

The symptoms you describe point VERY strongly to a suction side leak, either in piping you replaced or piping you disturbed (moved, jiggled ;) when you installed the new pump.
Keep in mind that, when the pump is running a SUCTION side leak will allow air INto the pipes, rather than letting water leak OUT. Unless you can hear them hissing, suction leaks can be rather hard to find.
