In my part of Florida, we've had a lot of rain over the last few days. Even though my pool has overflow piping (that, I think, just goes underneath the concrete shell and into a rock bed), my pool is filled to the brim (coping).
What danger is there in having my pool filled up to the coping/deck level? I could backwash my DE filter to bring down the water level, but then I'm unnecessarily using DE since my filter is currently still clean, plus whenever I backwash, I know I'm just emptying my pool of the salt and other chemicals that keep my water balanced.
Can really bad things happen if one's pool fills to overflowing?
