Hi, I want to be able to search the forum to find out if it is a good idea to use an epoxy coating on a concrete pool, such as Smart Seal Dura Seal. We have an in-ground spa that is about 8 ft in diam and 3 ft deep. It is about 15 years old. The plaster finish is turning very rough and porous.

Good idea? Maybe.
Epoxy is VERY application dependent. Also some pool epoxies are very low quality. Read through the literature at Kelley Technical (http://www.kelleytech.com/), and then decide. Either do it yourself OR use a contractor who can show you some 3 year old prior epoxy jobs. Last time I checked, Doheny's had the lowest prices on Kelley's epoxy.
Kelley has good products; so do some other companies, but I don't know which they are.
