This forum is awesome! I am a former "pool store" employee but found that the way I was taught was not working - my pool was green, sad since I thought I knew what I was doing (lol). Today I went to Walmart and purchased some regular non scented bleach (Walmart brand not Clorex) and added it to my pool. Well so far so good, I am running the filter non stop. I brushed it after an hour and of course it clouded up but went back a little later and it looks much better. No more wasteful bagged shock for me! Now, I have to tell my hubby not to buy any more chems - he loves using the non-chlorine shock which has not worked for us....lol!

My pH is a bit high but I will wait for the water to clear before I mess with that...anyway, thanks so much for the BBB method:)
