Hi. I'm new here and have a million questions but I'll start with one. I bought a 27' aboveground pool and I want to put it up my self. How level does my blocks and/or pool have to be? I've heard 1" across the width of the pool, within 1/8" or 1/16" between blocks. My head is getting ready to explode! Thanks. Tim

If it's a new pool, you should be able to contact the manufacturer for that info.

But, having seen a lot of pools that are out of level, assuming that your pool has a skimmer, you almost certainly can get by with 1" max. That's not ideal, but will work. Very, very few pools are actually installed to within 1/16". Also 1" over all tolerance does NOT mean you can go from 1/2" hi to 1/2" low within a few feet. Doing so will very likely cause installation problems.

You really want your ground to be both stable and level. Your maximum between the highest and lowest point should be no more than 1/2 inch. It will get worse as there's settling and water in the ground.
