I have seen a number of threads/posts discussing conversion of a Baquacil pool to chlorine. I know I could read though all of them, but I've got my pool down to zero baquacil levels with no chlorine. I need to get ready for the grandkids asap. Can someone point me to a really good, concise description of the process? 12,000 gal above ground oval.

Here's the link for the conversion procedure from Bacquacil--we usually recommend using plain, unscented bleach for the conversion. http://www.poolsolutions.com/gd/convert-baquacil-pool-to-chlorine.html
In a 12000 gallon pool, each gallon of 6% bleach will raise your chlorine by 5 ppm.

In short, you add lots and lots and lots of bleach/liquid chlorine. LC is just double strength bleach that comes in 5 gallon deposit carboys. Easier to use when you are going through that much liquid bleach/liquid chlorine.
Your water goes through all kinds of amazing in hideous colors.
When it's clear and maintains a steady Free Chlorine level, you are done with the conversion.
If you have a sand filter, at this point you replace your sand.
