Have a Jandy JVA1240 Valve Actuator (12 volt) which has started making a 'grinding' noise when opening/closing. I'm guessing it's one or more of the gears.

It's an old unit, so I don't mind getting a new one, but mine is 12 volt and is no longer available.

Anyone know if the Gear Replacement kit, Jandy R0411600, for the 24 volt actuator is interchangeable with the 12 volt?

If not, any suggestions on how I can fix the problem?

Thanks,

Jay S.

I'm sorry I don't know about the 'exchange-ability' of 12v and 24v. I do know that it's the 'step down' transformer that takes you from 120v to 24 or 12 - if all your other actuators are 12v, you have a 10:1 transformer - for a 24v you'd need a 5:1.

Perhaps there is a transformer that can go on the one line, but I don't know.
