I have checked all the links for the Taylor K-2006 test kits and none ship to Canada. Any ideas where I could look to get one to Canada? Checked E-bay no luck there either.

Try this place (http://piscines-apollo.com/cubecart/), they are reputable. Bad news is that Taylor kits cost more in Canada than the US because Taylor has given exclusive master distributor rights to Lowry and Associates in Ontario and they are the ones that set Canadian prices!
The link I gave you probably has among the best prices you will find in Canada and, FWIW, the owner of that site is an active member on this forum and is extremely knowledgeable on water testing.

Thanks for the info Waterbear. I checked out the site and wow that is a little pricey compared to the american prices. I know the Taylor is a great kit but I realy don't want to shell out that kind of money. Does anyone have any suggestions on a kit that is almost as good and a little less costly? Also I need to be able to get it in Canada. Thanks Again.

The ONLY other kit available in Canada that is comparable is the LaMotte 7022 and the US price for that is more than the Canadian price for the K-2006! The Taylor kit is still your best bet.

Ok thanks. I will have put some cash aside. Just getting the pool has cost enough and its seems like every little thing costs.

This expenditure will save you a LOT of money in the long haul. Just ask anyone who has this kit!

Mr. Mooks,

Order it online through |Amazon and ship it here http://cbiusa.com/. Drive down to Niagara Falls NY and pick it up for a $5.95 Fee. |Go to the Anchor Bar for lunch and have the original Buffalo wings. Show your receipt at the border and pay the HST on your return. You'll still have money left over for some fun at the Falls View Casino :)

Sounds good to me -- if anyone knows of a legal or ethical reason why this shouldn't be done, please post. I'll spin this topic off into a separate thread if necessary.

I may be mistaken -- and I'm open to correction -- I don't see that pool owners are party to the Lowry monopoly, from either a legal or ethical point of view. So until corrected, my feeling is, if anyone can find a way around that monopoly that's not illegal, I'm all for it.

Wow. Finally maybe a workable solution to a problem that has been tossed around this forum for years --- how to get a kit to Canada. Thanks for sharing, Glenn. That will be a big help to many people!

It's really all about the chicken wings. If you calculate the cost of gas etc. then you're only saving 40 bucks.

Glenn is right. The chicken wings at the anchor bar are great. We have actually been talking about hitting Buffalo again in the next month for the wife to shop. If we do I will order it up that way and p/u when I am there. Not going to make a trip just for that. Again great suggestion.

Another way to help make it worth the trip is to plan to arrive with your car close to empty so you can save 20% on a tank of gas.
