I've been dealing with recent increase to green, but clear. I'm beginning to think it is a calcium hardness issue, so looking for help. 32k water, cartridge, 20 x 40.
fc keeping at 7, adding about a gallon every other day; cya 95,tc 7, alk 210, ph 7.6 right now looks like ch is bet 275-300 fas-dpd test kit. am I draining off some water? please advise. baron

What type of pool is this? Any copper in the water, use of well water to fill, any copper-based algaecides or "dual action" or copper-containing trichlor tabs being used?

vinyl liner, cartridge filter. using 12% liquid. have not shocked in a while, testing a a lot, keeping fc between 6-9 with little difficulty. ph has been stable. not using well water to top off. have been using a sam's club algecide. maybe 1/2 g a week
have not noticed typical algae symptoms of sliminess. might be little higher on phosphates, but that's only based on store input, using 3 caps week of the usual brand. thanks for the help. baron.

Check the ingredients on the algaecide. Any mention of copper in there?
