My son just found a small rip in bottom of pool. We have notice it has gone down a bit recently. Can this be fixed without draining pool? I heard of Boxer glue any ideas?

Thanks
Vicki

Yes, boxer glue 100 is what you want and you are right that you do not need to drain the pool to patch it. When we found a couple of small rocks under my liner a year after it was installed (it apparently was in the sand and took awhile to work its way up to the liner) we put a patch on so that if it did rip through the liner at some point, it wouldn't leak. We took a small piece of leftover liner and patched it. It has held for about 4 years now. It is a little discolored (I think from the glue) but it has not come up any even on the edges.

If you don't have any pieces of leftover liner, they sell patch kits.

If you need help with how to apply a patch, I'll be around Tues. PM and Wed. (I'm gonna try to get my patching info typed up and posted on one of those days :) )

I'll also be here to check in tomorrow.

Haven't been around for a bit and just getting around to catching up on the forum. Boxer 100 is a slow acting cement. The stuff that normally comes with the patch kits I've tried will attack the vinyl and curl it real fast so you have to get it in place fast. I did a deep end patch years ago and it's still holding. Took time to place it, squeegie it, then drop a sandbag on it so I needed the slow acting stuff.
