The pool is used about a year old but has been moved and I now want to try installing the old liner back into the pool as it does look to be in good shape. I have read quite a bit about how the install of a pool should go but not so much about how to reinstall a used liner that already has the skimmer cut out as well as a small light hole. My question is how do I get the liner holes lined up properly to reinstall the skimmer. Im suspecting that I need to install the skimmer and light first and work the liner in from that point . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have not started preping the site yet. Plan to rent a bobcat to get started this coming week.

I'm going to let one of our other members who knows more about installing liners than I do answer your question. But, I will tell you that sometimes when liner pools are drained, liners can't be reused. Maybe since it is only a year old, it might be ok, but I'll let someone else advise you in regards to this.
I just wanted to let you know that your post has been read. Once your registration is completed and your post is moved out into the classified areas, you'll get more views by some of our installer people who should be able to offer their advice and opinion.
(In the meantime, you might want to go and do some reading in the construction areas of the forum. Also, use the search feature in my signature (it is better than the forum software search) and see what you can find. For now, you'll have to log out to be able to see/read the other sections of the forum, but that is only temporarily. Once registration is complete, you'll be able to see everything while logged in.)

Thank you for the welcome and the tip on the search function. That is nice. I was not necessarily counting on using the liner when I purchased this pool but after acquiring the pool and opening the liner up to inspect it and to do whatever was needed to clean it up we found it to be in quite acceptable condition. We found no suspicious looking areas and we went over the liner thoroughly brushing off with water only to get to a nice clean state for the reinstall if that is the way that we chose to procede. This liner was used for one season only and has been stored outside folded up for about a month. For whatever reason the people sold their house and moved and took the pool with them. They were just before reinstalling the pool in their new location and found they had to move for job related reasons and could not take the pool with them. This is a 27 foot round AG Pool by Aqua Leader. The top ledge and top and bottom track as well as the verticals are resin. The wall is metal. I tell you this info just to let you know what the pool is in case it has a bearing on the method of install I should follow. I do know the pool company that sold and installed the pool new and am intending to call them to see if they would recommend the reuse of the liner or not. I plan to do the install myself and would surely benefit from any experience anyone could share about getting this used liner properly aligned in the new location.
