We just set up our pool last week (the kind with the inflatable ring, 15'X42") after finally just got the water to the right color (it is orange/brown every year because we have well water and there is iron, so we have to treat it). Anyways, today I was thinking it should be ready to swim in, so I tested the water. I do have a question on the pH level though? In the picture below, the pH is on the right. What does the level appear to be? 7.2, maybe a TEENY bit higher? Is this fine to swim in? Thanks. Oh and also, I have a really high TA level, which I have read up on and a lot of places say you don't really need to adjust it unless your pH level is constantly changing ,which mine isn't because I have been testing it for the past week and it has been relatively the same. So is this an issue for me?

Again thanks.

P.S. - In the picture I am aware that chlorine level is a little on the high side- the sun is helping me out on that problem. Lol.

I removed the link to the picture in order to speed up the process of getting this post on the forum, but I looked at the pic, and your pH in that pic was 7.2, which is fine to swim in. In fact, your chlorine in that pic was only about 5 ppm, which isn't high at all, if you have no stabilizer.

With high TA, if your pH is staying stable and the TA isn't causing other problems (milky water with high calcium, for example), then I wouldn't worry about it. If it starts causing problems, then you can always adjust it later.

No my water is crystal clear, so I'll just leave it be! Thanks for your help! :)
