I've read alot on the forum about algae and how to get rid of it.I think I'm ready to get started. My question is when I'm running the filter 24/7, do I disconnect the pool sweep? We have a saltwater inground pool.

Not necessarily. But, do watch your filter pressure and clean it as needed.
