Still working on getting iron out my intex ultra frame 16x48 pool. Called pool works they recommened not having new water brought in but spending the money on new filter system. Believe it or not he told me to go online and try to find the best price for one. So what type of sand filter would work best for me and easily attach with my pool? Looking at intex 2650 Gallon Sand Filter Pump W/GFCI or Intex 56673EG 14-Inch Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump, 110-120 Volt with GFCI

Thanks in advance?

What about this Hayward VL series above ground pump and filter? Any thoughts?

You're pool should be right around 5k gallons or so. The 2650 would turn your water in 2 hours. 4 hours a day should do a pretty nice job of keeping the pool clean (much better than what comes with it.) I've never used any of the filters that you have listed, but I've read good things about Hayward. The only trick to that is making it work with your pool (but that shouldn't be too tricky) Maybe someone will pipe in with more experience with these filters, but for the record, I love my sand filter. It's made pool work much easier and less time consuming.
