The other day I noticed some suspended particles floating in my pool. They looked like very fine specks, almost like a powder, that would glisten in the sunlight. Has anyone else ever come across a problem like this? It doesnt seem to affect the clarity much, if at all, but I still notice it the particles in certain parts of the pool.

It is a 30K gal painted concrete pool. I know the calcium is a bit low, I just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas on what the trouble might be. Thanks in advance, everyone here is always so helpful and awesome.

I don't remember if you have a sand or DE filter, but it could be filter media blowing back into the pool?

It's a sand filter, that was one of the theories I had (broken lateral causing sand to blow out of returns) I was just hoping it might be something else. I hate having to call the "professionals" to come over, do a second rate job, and charge me an exorbitant amount for the privilege.

Thanks for the help Janet, I really appreciate it, but I hope you're wrong! :)

Anyone else have any suggestions or theories??

Any swimmers that may have been wearing shimmer or glitter? Maybe uninvited swimmers?
