New to poolforum as I am having difficulties trying to find information on replacing the light bulb in my Fiberstar model 6008. The old bulb (10 yrs) has no marking indicating the wattage or type, I have been to Fiberstars website and other areas of the internet and could not find this information. I have seen places that sell the lamp assembly but nothing that indicates the bulb itself, not even sure if the bulb comes with the assembly if I were to purchase.
Any assistance would be appreciated as I do not want to buy tht wrong wattage or type and cause more damage then good.

I had a similar problem a few years back. It wasn't a Fiberstars though. I believe I bought it at Family Leisure or somewhere similar. Anyway, I ended up just buying the assembly because I got so fed up looking. I can't guarantee this will work for you, but it worked in my case. Let me know if you find any weird websites with such information. I'd like to bookmark them.

thanks for the information, my quest continues however I feel it will be in vain. The manufacturer got back to me and stated that the entire lamp assembly is sold as one piece, so unless I find something that provides detail on the actual light bulb I will need to purchase the entire assembly.

Just in case anyone else has the same quest I found the bulb needed, the model number is GE ARC150/842/G12 and goes for about 43 dollars on-line.
