How much 6% bleach do I need to raise 5500 gallons 1ppm. How do you figure this out?

Thanks,

Bruce

1.5 cups. Do a search for mwsmith2. At the bottom of any post that he has written, you can get his bleach calculator from his signature.

After you download it, you might want to go to "more calcs" in the upper left hand corner, click on "settings" and change the unit of measurement to "imperial". That let's you calculate in gallons.

Sounds like I have the same size pool 15' AG...

With thanks to this forum I have had crystal clear water so far this year by simple adding only bleach when needed.

I havn't needed the calculator as I have just roughly adjust as needed but wondered if there is a calc for CL consumption. I do realize there are several variables making it a tough equation. Without using PUCKS I'm going thru on average a jug a week (5L). At a cost of under 2 bucks this is great but is this consumption normal for a average used 15' AG pool? I do add the bleach at night as advised and water temp is around 80 still. Just wondering if stabilzer is needed or should I stick with what works so far?

Thanks again.
