I've been lurking around this forum for around a year now (since we built our house last year and I knew I wanted a pool). At one time I found a thread that discussed turnover rates and recommendations. Unfortunately I can't find it now.

I have a Sta-Rite OptiFlo 1hp 115v pump attached to a DE filter with 1 1/2" hoses. My pool is a 15'x24'x52" pool (I think around 9800 gallons). I'm using the BBB system (still working on getting everything settled in as the pool just went up last week) and I'm in Southern NH. Looking for any advice on turnover rate and how often I should run the pump (as I'm planning on putting a timer near the breaker panel). Thank you!

Not sure which thread you wanted, but you can find a bunch by searching here:

Here's the Pentair manual, with flow rates:

Assuming 50GPM, you will 'turnover' your pool every 2 hours. So, (2) 2 hours runs should work OK. But you'll need more with thunderstorms and such. Also, if you use a timer, do NOT put tabs in the skimmer. Instead use a floater.
