I went down to Kmart and bought the nicest looking pool vacuum they had, the closest pool store is 2 hours away and I couldn't make it all the way over there...well the $50 Kmart vac broke within seconds of putting it the water. It seems there was a weak spot and the first little pile of sand I ran into just snapped it. So I know I could go to the pool store and they'll sell me the "best one" they have but whether it will work is a whole different story. Our Intex pool did come with a vacuum but that thing is the most pathetic looking thing I've ever seen. I could probably rig up something myself way better then the one that came with the pool. So with all that said, what is the best manual vacuum that you have found to work with your above the ground pool? Thanks so much for your input.

I use this one (http://tinyurl.com/6783vx7) made by Ace. The link leads to the product at amazon.com. It has an excellent weight and balance and stays on the pool bottom, maintaining suction. The clear top lets you see when stuff is being vacuumed up. I'm using it for the third season this year.
