First off I would like to say this is a great forum and I am so happy I came across it. So great job to all the people that run this site.
Okay my question. Can anyone see any problems with this set up for a above ground pool.
24x52 Intex Ultra Frame pool
Hayward power Flo LX 1HP pump (60GPM)
Triton II TR60 sand Filter
Any thoughts or insight would be great.

With the more powerful pumps, you need to be very, very careful not to allow all the suction from the pump to be supplied from a single point, ie. 1 skimmer. More powerful pumps can suck the meat off your hand if you stop the flow at one point. So, when replacing Intex gear with more powerful gear, make sure you have two skimmers or what not.

Thanks Ben. The pool I have currently on the intake has a big hockey puck looking thing with several little holes all around it. You can put you hand right on it and you can feel the suction but it is not bad at all. I think with all those holes it spreads the suction over the surface area.
How would you go about adding a skimmer?
I have ran this pump on other smaller Intex pools and it has worked great. This is a new (to me) filter and the thing is huge. Probably way over kill for only a 12,500 gallon pool but it was free and I think the pump matches up well with it.
