2 years ago ,We built 18000 gallon Guinite/ plaster pool . Used diamond bright plaster- French Grey- plaster guy did a poor job , looks like clouds on the bottom , uneven color , Plaster guy said bring ph way down and brush for 2 weeks , we did and it didnt work ....We saw some improvement but not enough . Like to know about polishing . diamond bright has small specs of aggregate looks nice when finished ..... Any help appreciated

So by bringing the Ph way down and brushing, are you trying to remove a "film" or a "coating"? I remember that many years ago, my brother somehow managed to scatter granulated lawn fertilizer into his pool that had iron in it. Needless to say, the iron stained the plaster. The thing that finally did the trick was extremely fine grit Wet or Dry Sandpaper, something like 400 - 600 grit if I remember right. It would be a difficult job but you might just try a small inconspicious area to see how it works.

I read a thread about polishing someone has experience... acid wash / acid soak ..dont do it looking to grind and polish. Who can help?
