Does anyone have a good method for cleaning the debris from the top of a solar cover when taking it off? After several days of rain, worms and trees dropping stuff on my pool solar cover, it is very hard to get the cover off without all that debris ending up washing into the pool. I have a reel and try to hose it off as I roll it up but that doesn't always work well. This is an inground pool.

I agree, it is a pain in the patootie! I haven't covered my pool for about 3 winters now, but when I used to, I would stand on my deck (I have an AG pool) and hose everything towards the skimmer. This directed much of it into the skimmer but I did still end up with some stuff in the pool that was easily vacuumed up.

I'm not talking about the winter safety cover but rather the summer bubble wrap solar cover.

I actually pretty much do it the same way. Stand on the deck and hose it. I also occasionally take a plastic scrubbie thing like you would use to do dishes and scrub it some. But, not too often.
