Has anyone ever painted their fiberglass slide? My slide is in good shape, just looks dull and needs to be spruced up. What product would you recommend to do this?

You might check with one of the slide manufacturers; I think they recommend wax.

You *can* use epoxy paint on fiberglass, but you must be careful to to a very good job.

Badly done epoxy will flake and bubble, but the chips will still be strong enough to slice users. When I have done commercial pools with epoxy, I've usually had to take a concrete rubbing stone to remove bugs that got caught in the paint, after learning the hard way that these would slice up swimmers feet. (I had to fix *THAT* pool underwater, using SCUBA!)

If you want to tackle it, got to Kelley Technical's website (http://www.kelleytech.com/), and read through their tech info. Do NOT try to do paint on the cheap, either with cheap paint, or with slacker prep. If you decide to paint epoxy, you MUST do the *tedious prep* right, or you WILL regret it.

Good luck,

PS: Doheny's Water Warehouse (http://www.waterwarehouse.com) doesn't have the cheapest prices on most things, but they have the best prices I know of on Kelley epoxy -- they have a grandfathered in arrangement with Kelley, and buy direct, and then retail for less than most pool guys pay wholesale! 800-323-5930
