My 23000 gal. plaster pool has had high calcium since it's inception in 2002. It got very pitted, stained and was impossible last season to keep it clean. We live in farm country PA. This year I had them acid wash the pool and replace the water. I still have a high calcium problem. I don't know what to do. It's going to need to be replastered in the next few years. How do I get and keeep my calcium levels down? I have a Taylor test kit and for the past few years have been using bleach and baking soda and pouring acid in to keep the PH low.

The answer depends on how the calcium is getting into your pool. There are three common possible sources:
1. your fill water,
2. chemicals you are adding,
3. dissolution of your existing plaster via low pH

Test results of your pool AND fill water, along with a list chemicals used, would be the place to start.
