Currently my polaris is sitting in between my pump and sand filter which means I have to constantly change the filter screen on the polaris to keep it moving. That also means that with all of the energy I'm using to pump water out of the pool, I'm only filtering 1/2 of it while the other 1/2 goes back unfiltered through the polaris. I was thinking about re-plumbing so all water goes through my sand filter first and then my Jandy Valve will come after the filter allowing water to flow in one direction through the chlorinator and back into the pool and in the other direction through the polaris. This would seem to be much more effecient.
My concern with this, and my question to the experts in the forum, is will my polaris now suffer from lower pressure since I've moved it down the line and will I now have to install a booster pump to maintain enough pressure to keep the polaris moving?
Appreciate any and all feedback.
