I am trying my first post here.
Wanted to do a pool but my yard has a terrible slope. Wanted to install a retaining wall but everyone said it would not work. Well i got tired of sweating and decided to do something about it.
Anyway i did a retaining wall and put a 12' x 24' doughboy on it and installed it about a 1' from my deck. I am in the process of extending my deck to it and installing the new railings. I will try to get some good pictures up this spring. Thought i would share my trying summer. I cannot figure out how to attach pictures to this thread. Maybe someone can help me out.

Hi Johnnysnok, and welcome to the forum!!

I'm checking with Ben first to make sure I give you the right answer to the pics posting, but I do know that new subscribers can't post pics at all until after a "probationary" period where all of your posts have to be modded in (approved) by one of the mods before being posted to the forum. After that, well......waiting for a definitive answer from Ben...

We have had quite a bit of trouble with spammers trying to cause problems on the forum thus the need to mod in new members' posts and restrict privileges for awhile. Just trying to keep the forum safe and enjoyable for everyone. Hope you understand. Glad you found us and hope that the forum is helpful to you in maintaining your pool!

lol, I know....but unfortunately we are being bombarded by spammers, etc. and Ben tries his absolute best to make sure that the people who are allowed to participate on this forum are not hackers, spammers, etc. Not that he thinks you are, but that's why the procedures are set up the way they are here--at least you know you're posting in a "safe" place!!

edit: ok, Watermom beat me to the "post" button, but the info's still the same..........I just need to type faster :)

Hello,

Still trying to post some photos for your subscribers. Any idea how long this probation period is?

Sorry about that.

You actually would have rolled over to "Subscriber" status (from "*Subscriber*") automagically sooner than you realized. I'm not explaining the rules exactly, because I have spammers who are reading the requirements more carefully than regular users, and are writing scripts to do what it takes. It has become a total P.I.T.A. One forum, for forum operators, is reporting that forum spam is up 150% over the same time last year.

Nevertheless, you can now post pics.
