What can I do to prevent worms from entering the pool and settling at the main drain leaving stains in the spring?

Bump...anybody have any ideas, other than shocking would remove any stains that were left by the earthworms??

Maybe dumping DE powder on the ground around the pool? Supposed to cut up the bodies. just a thought.

Not sure how viable it'd be but a moat would work - the wiggly little buggers won't cross water:)
