I have a PoolPilot DIG 220 that seems to be working ok. The SC 36 cell was replaced last year. However, this PoolPilot emits strong radio interference over the range of about 5 to 15 megaHertz when the cell is powered on. If I listen closely I can hear a buzz that sounds like an arc when the cell is on. But I don't know if this really is an arc I am hearing, or is it a current control switcher (if there is one). The RFI goes away if I unplug the cell. I would sure like to get a schematic so I could troubleshoot further, but PoolPilot says no. So can you tell me: is cell current controlled by a switcher; is power to the cell transformer always on, or is it off when the cell is off. I have test equipment like meters and oscilloscope etc. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
