I added approx. 1 cup of granular CYA to my pool skimmer and, after checking on the pool an hour later, notice undisolved granules of CYA laying on the bottom of the pool next to the wall. Will this CYA hurt my liner?

The real question is how they got past the filter. But, I would vacuum them up or at least not leave them sit in one spot. It is very acidic but also very slow to dissolve.

I won't be home for another 10 hrs. Is liner toast?

Probably not but you'll just have to wait and see when you get there. Some labels of cya actually tell you to broadcast it in the pool which would cause it to sit on the liner since it dissolves rather slowly. We just don't happen to think that is a good idea. Your liner will probably be ok but I would vac it into the filter as soon as you get home.

It's not that acidic. it is a weak acid and will not have that much of an effect on pH. Much of it will convert to cyanurate ions and chlorinated isocyantuates at normal pool pH. range.
Your liner should be fine!
